I wonder if ths will prevent other companies from having a “standardized” test for pre-employment testing.

i’d like to know, specifically, what was discriminating about these tests. Most pre-employments tests i’ve taken have to do with logic, basic arithmatic, grammar/spelling, computer applications, typing, etc….the only people these tests seemed to discrimiate against were the underqualified.

Then, I’d say to you that you should be ashamed of yourself for letting the “white crackers” turn you into a punk.

Jesse: Well, at least I am capable of coming across as educated and semi-literate. I may be a bit overconfident, but I firmly believe I could pass the FedEx test for employment as a delivery driver. In fact, I have much experience as a delivery driver. I would be a true asset to the Company.

Oh c’mon… it’s obvious man! Don’t you know skills like map reading are racially biased? You can’t expect a minority to be able to read a map written and drawn by a white man!

This same argument is used in many areas. Not only is an English based test discriminatory, but the context of the questions raise issues of discrimination. How can we expect a minority to relate to a question about apples and oranges if they can’t afford apples and oranges themselves? It’s all bull.

What a great idea…let’s pay millions to people to encourage them to use the race card to collect money for being stupid.

Lesson learned…Get an interview with a large company, fail the test that tells the company whether you can actually do the job you are applying for, and then sue them because you failed itand didn’t get the job…oh yeah and blame it on the color of your skin. I am very surprised Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton didn’t get any face time in front of the cameras on this!!

Our legal system is exceptional…don’t you think?

“[d]iscontinuing the BST removes the perception by some that this test was a barrier to advancement for minority employees.”

In other words, “This caters to racists who believe that minorities are too stupid to pass the test.” Oddly enough, the “racists” in these cases are always liberals, who are accusing conservatives of making up racist tests.
