It’s probably too damn expensive and a lifelong undertaking for my eyes to even bear on you, but what the hell, “to dream the impossible dream, to beat the entrenched foe, etc.”, helps ease the pain even though the right thing to do is for you blue-eyed devils to GET THE HELL OUT OF MY COUNTRY. But what the hell do you know about what’s right!!

Hey guy, all I can say after reading your response is that I’ve decided to uppack my bags and stay. If for no other reason than my presence in this country will allow you to spew idiotic nonsense. The reality is that most of us were born here and have the opportunity to live the kind of life we desire. If you haven’t taken the step then you are letting YOUR racism get in the way of a productive life. Take what life deals you and make something of it OR whine about it….your choice.

I’ve always been impressed with what the Warm Springs tribe (OR) has done with the cards they were dealt or the Tulalips (WA) in the Puget Sound. They prosper and abide as a people despite having to deal with us white devils.

Having said that, I will go on about other business. Have a good day!!

Office manager threw out in the trash every employment application completed by an african american job candidate as soon as the candidate left the office. This came back to haunt her when one candidate called back to see how her candicacy looked, the office manager could not find her appl., the prospective ee called the EEOC and ended up working at our place. She was a terrific classy person and smarter and more hardworking than most of the rest of us!

Former manager would not hire anyone African American. Period. No matter who they were or what were their qualifications. Seems he was from a tough neighborhood and had some problems in the past with african american neighbors blah blah blah.

I live in Philadelphia PA. Racism is rampant. Some people still openly refer to african americans as you know whats.
It saddens me to see a city that helped lead the charge to abolish slavery home to so many with such hate in their hearts.

Hey Rick. You have broken the spirits of those people you’ve mentioned. You sicko, wacko “white”. Re-pack your bags and BUG OUT OF MY COUNTRY. Get as close as possible to the Russians, Persians, Arabs, and Chinese. They would be so happy to greet you.

It certainly sounds like our resident native american needs to learn to deal with reality. The non-native americans aren’t leaving and aren’t giving back what was taken. Read a little history. Lots of less developed societies have been disposessed throughout history. It’s not usually fair and in this case, it was brutal, but it’s history. We live in the world made for us by the people that came before us, good and bad. I hope you don’t really have some vaugue dream that your fantasy will come true. I hope these are just rants posted to get your feelings out in the open. If not, more’s the pity for you.

I wasn’t going to say anything, because the posts seemed to be between a few passionate individuals who all have valid and separate points to make. I however do want to point out a simple truth to all of you who feel that society is keeping the blacks and Latinos down.
In the case of the blacks being oppressed for so long and so on and so forth, Wake up brother. (Not meaning that to sound condescending) Take a look at the “people” who all but have the corner on the term “The oppressed minority.” I would like to introduce you to the Jews of the world. They are more oppressed than you or your ancestors could ever even imagine, and yet, in this country, they are looked upon as the oppressive jewelers and lawyers and doctors and heads of corporations. Do you want to know why they are in the positions that they are in? They did not sit on their laurels and whine about what previous generations did to their ancestors. They got out there and WORKED for what they have. They reached for the brass ring and, amazingly, are hated by the “minority” for no longer allowing themselves to be “held down by society.”

Let me point out a few groups of people to the Latinos that feel they are discriminated against as well. Asians and Arabic people that have chosen to come to America from their 3rd world countries (same as you or your ancestors have) that now own businesses and franchises because of a desire to find the “streets paved with gold.” Unfortunately, society has painted blacks and Latinos as people who would rather look good than work hard.
How many black “icons” do you see driving a Hybrid or living a simple life and working hard to save for a future? How many Latinos do you see striving to get an education instead of trying to better themselves in an athletic event?
If the so called minorities put as much effort into education as they do into athletics and aesthetics, there would be no such thing as an “oppressed class” of people.
This society is too full of government handouts and false idols that corrupt the morality and values of the minority. Have some pride in and respect oneself rather than expecting it to be handed to you when it is not earned nor deserved. Quit blaming your own shortcomings on others and become accountable for ones own actions and standing in life. Dennis Leary stated once long ago, “Life is hard, get a (expletive deleted) helmet.”
Don’t be afraid to work for what you want, or set your goals too high, you might surprise yourself and actually attain something greater than you could have imagined or that society expects of you.

Just some food for thought: Entitlements are simply outlined in some well written historical documents. “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Nowhere does it mention handouts, hospitalization, or food stamps.

I am almost of the opinion that ‘it’s my counry’ is NOT a native person/Indian. Although I can’t say I know every tribe member in the US, I have met a number of them. Working out West does that for you. I can only remember one person as bigoted and nasty as this guy. For the most part they were just normal (by my standards) business people looking to get ahead.

Perhaps my ‘friend’ is really someone of Irish descent (sorry Irish….that’s where half my genetic material derives), looking to smear the good name of our Native peoples??!! Either that or make PMS.

In any case I’ll never know because I’m moving on from this string. kla-how ya. (Good bye from the Chinook peoples found in the Puget Sound)

    Sins of the father

You write a rather poignant piece and I really agree with allot of what you have said. Especially with regard to working hard, studying hard and so forth. I just want to remind you of what my point was which I believe you reaffirmed in pointing out the different ethnicities which have in fact been victim to racist agendas. Quite a few of the posts below in my perception seem to want to ignore the fact that racism exists. I am not looking for a hand-out, affirmative action, free anything. I work for what I have earned despite of the “playing field”. I love people from all walks of life of any color and I know that none of them are perfect, Not my race or yours. I choose however not to ignore that racism does exist.
Just one more thing to point out to “This is my land”. You are an embarrassment, I would not want you to represent my race either. What you said about Arlington National Cemetery was shameful and you should apolgize to ALL the great people that have given everything to make this country what it is.
