I hope you can all do some basic math…..If the settlement is $92M, and the lawyers get their approx 35%. That leaves just under $60M for 2.9 M policy holders…….You should get about $20 give or take……Before you complain about the settlement, I ask you: Do you even know what NML was accused of doing?
Didn’t think so.Enjoy your 5 cups of Coffee and call it a day.

So does anyone really know whats going on with this? I’ve not checked and was curious. And just to add a coment…
I don’t think it’s greed on the rest of our parts to want back some of what we’ve paid in if this lawsuit really is ligitimate and NWML is not paying out as they should.

how can you find out what class your term life insurance is if your broker keeps putting you off?
My wife and I have had it for nearly 20 yrs, have continued to pay into it and were wondering about dividend payouts we never rec’d when NWM became a shareholder insurance company to all policyholders. Who the hell do you get coherent answers from? I keep hitting brick walls…
You aren’t kidding that NWM is “… the quiet company…”, as their advert claims… MUM IS MORE LIKE IT…

Now lets see what I can do for $11, I can buy 11 lotto tickets or 6 oranges “on sale only” for $1.79 a lb. or 6 roses (not 12)for my wife or 1/4 lb of ham and 1/4 lb of cheese 2 rolls and make my own lunch or buy 5 gallons of gas or really get crazy and send a gift to the lawyers who worked so hard in getting themselves 33 mil dollars and thank them for my $11. Ya, thats what I;ll do.

You ever heard of a term or disability policy that pays dividends? I think not. As for deceptive advertising, everyone has their own Billy Mays. Just because some fruit cake tree hugging liberal freak feels he is owed money the lawyers glom onto the “cause” and make themselves rich. There’s really not any difference between them and the somali pirates. One uses guns, the other pens.

The class action has been appealed by “some Members of the Class”. There are no payments to be made until appeal of the settlement is settled according to the June 22, 2009 update on the NM Settlement website.
No one gets rich in a class action lawsuit except the trial attorneys. (Old news!)
