Aon Corporation announced the completion of the sale of its claims administration business, Cambridge Integrated Services Group Inc., to Scandent Group, an innovator in providing technology-enabled solutions and services, headquartered in Singapore.
Scandent’s main U.S. office is in Greenwich Conn. It provides business process outsourcing (BPO) and global IT consulting to U.S. and international companies, governments and public entities.
Aon said that as a result of the sale, it will “retain a minority equity ownership position in a parent of Cambridge.” Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Aon Chairman and CEO Patrick G. Ryan commented: “Aon’s decision to enter into this new arrangement reflects our commitment to focus on core businesses, while ensuring the continued availability of claims services to clients.”
