While I try not to make political statements, if Sen. Clinton refrained from talking on items she knew nothing about, she be perfectly silent! What a treat for the rest of us.

    DWT,

You beat me to it!!. What a wonderful gift that would be!. I guess Reagan was the great communicator and now Shrillary will be known as the great panderer.

The Dems have a very annoying habit of taking the very small % of instances that tend to go not quite the way it is supposed to.
For example, Katrina. FEMA has been responding to hurricane disasters for decades and have performed very well. Now, due to the delays from residents evacuating, the mayor for requesting assistance and the Gov for sitting on her hands immediatly after the hurricane, the relief effort did not perform as it should have.
But, to take that occurrence and imply that FEMA responds this way all the time is a ploy to tug at heartstrings of the those ignorant of the facts and make it look like Bush \”hates blacks and poor people\”.

I\’m heartened to see this. The neo-con Bushies should take note of this, and learn that the public wants to hear solutions, not more lies.

FEMA and the Feds have some huge problems and their weaknesses were very exposed during Katrina.

But have we citizens done all we can reasonably do to prepare for emergencies and disasters?

Instead of blowing hot air up our butts, maybe Sen. Clinton could educate us on what we can do to help ourselves?

She does have knowledge of lying, cheating, greed and the quest for unbridled power. But no one wants to hear her speak of those things and she is reluctant to admit those things about herself.

A \”lie\” is a statement made when the one making the statement knows that the information is not true.
The Dems have been looking for evidence that Bush knew the info (Iraq has WMD\’s)was not true, but have not found the smoking gun, the gun or the smoke. We all know if there was the slightest bit of proof that he lied, they would be screaming for impeachment.
Therefore, since there is no evidence, I request that the Dems stop using a flawed, not thought out claim of \”liar\” until such time that there is some proof (which will never happen becasue Bush, Britian, France, Germany etal all believed that Iraq had WMD\’s).
Nice try, but it just does not hold water and makes the Dems look as desperate as they actually are.

\”A small %\”? Katrina was a small %?????? The US made it to the Tsunami on the other side of the world in 72 hrs, yet it took 5 days to get to New Orleans. The entire world watched people dying while the red tape that is now FEMA was sitting around.
Putting FEMA in Homeland Security under a man who saved HORSES was yet another Bush Blunder.
It\’s not that Bush hates the blacks and poor. It\’s that Bush puts his \’loyal followers\’ in positions that they aren\’t qualified for and have no business holding.
Fortunately for the rest of us, his \’loyal followers\’ are getting fewer and father between.
I can\’t believe that people are still ignorant enough to blame people who survive on $9000 a year for not being able to just pick up fly out of a doomed city. Oh, and BTW- I guess it\’s their fault the levees collapsed?
I\’m sorry, but we have no business trying to save the rest of the world when we can\’t take care of our own. THAT\’S my biggest problem. Send billions to Asia for the Tsunami while bodies rot in the street in Louisiana. Yep. Great legacy.
