Mike: But to blame the feds for leaving the busses to flood, shooting at relief help, looting, and destroying the only habitat available at the time (See Superdome) is looking for excuses to blame someone other than those actually responsible.

    Dawn,

Don\’t forget about Ray \”Chocolate City\” Nagin and his brilliant choice to leave all the buses parked when he could have used those to evacuate the city. Plus, I think you are being a little over dramatic about seeing \”hundreds\” of people dying in the streets on television. What I remember most was the hundreds of looters who made it almost impossible for the rescuers to get in to the people as they shot at the Nat Guard and rescuers. As far as I am concerned, there is more than enough blame to go around to all. Plus, New Orleans needed an enema anyway.

Did you by any chance go to the Pat Robertson School of Law?

And how about all the help that was turned down for Katrina? We were offered enough help from around the world that we wouldn\’t have needed FEMA to show up at all. Again, Homeland Security Red Tape instead of \’thank you, when can you be here?\’

If calling me an idiot is the best you can do, I guess you\’ll need Bush\’s intervention next. Good luck.

WAY TOO MUCH BUSH LOVE GOING ON AROUND HERE.

the only thing left to say about him IMHO is BYE-BYE-BYE.

Even the Republicans are jumping ship faster then rats on the Titanic.

I LOVE HILLARY! She has already brought about a lot of changes that are important to my life. Forcing healthcare ins to pay for 3 days in the hospital following delivery, her pro-choice activism, now she\’s on the wagon to force healthcare ins to pay for treatment for autism, and ask Kansas if they need the Federal govt\’s help to rebuild after the F5?
National Cat fund is way overdue.

How do you get a room full of men to cross their legs?

(Media Mogul notes with disdain the sexism, racism, and good old fashioned Fox Network Joespeh Goebels \”big lie\” strategy lying just below the surface among so many IJ readers trying to drown out decent and respectable opinions by other IJ readers. The Bush regime is incompetent–it\’s unarguable. (Scratch one of those angry, screaming old white men on the radio and see what you get just under that surface–a racist, perhaps a drug addict, perhaps a pedophile…you name it).

C\’mon, you macho but wimpy guys, you\’re just afraid Hilary may just take out those snippers and …

I do give credit where it is due. Your right on that point. It is time for the Dems to stop bashing Bush. It\’s yesterday, old news, even the Republicans are getting in on it now.

Dems need to stop Bush bashing and start offering solutions. Unfortunately, we\’re stuck in a pool of quicksand between the party that got us here and nobody being able to get us out effectively.

So, since you have the answers, where do we get a candidate that has the b***s to stand up, stop taking the corp kickbacks, stop thumping the bible when it\’s in their favor, and actually get us out of this mess?

America needs to get the hell out of the Mid East, we need to take care of the people that are here LEGALLY, and we need to stop taking care of every other country but our own.

I\’m sorry you don\’t believe that the Gov\’t we pay taxes to should help out when we need it, but I\’m glad you\’re so well off you never need the help.

I couldn\’t agree more with Dawn – I think we were all abhorred at the looting, etc but she is right that it took almost FIVE days before assistance arrived – I can\’t imagine the desperation of how those people must have felt, meanwhile we are sending billions over to Iraq & other countries to rebuild. So adjusterjoe, compman, & Mike, stick by your Republicans & let\’s see what kind of future you\’ll have here in the U.S. We are told that Medicare is failing, we have a trillion dollar deficit, our own victims of catastrophies wait on help but other countries are getting billions of dollars -how about your Republicans explain that? I\’m sick & tired of my tax dollars going out of this country instead of solving our own crises. How dare you call Dawn a communist/socialist. Time for a change – both Democratic and a woman to boot! Maybe Bush will invite you to the Oil Baron\’s Club to join him in celebrating the latest profits!

Don\’t forget idiot- I was called that, too. LOL

See, what they call \’health care dismantle\’ was Hillary making sure women got better treatment and better coverage. Let Viagra get on the list of \’not covered\’ meds again and see how fast they jump up and down screaming \’foul\’!

We can\’t get the test to show if we have cervical cancer covered, but men get a pill so they can have sex covered. That\’s what the Republicans have shown me they care about. Remember the Bush appointee that stated that women need to read the bible to learn that PMS was just our \’duty\’? And he was in charge of the reproductive division of the FDA.

And don\’t get their hopes up. Bush won\’t associate with anyone who didn\’t go to the Pat Robertson School of Law. Of course, pretty soon they will be the only ones that will associate with HIM. – by the way, most of them are hiring lawyers that went to REAL law schools to defend them now. ;-)
