NavNowAuto Inc. announced that wholly owned subsidiary Navicom, a provider in GPS tracking technology, was approved by California-based Mercury Insurance Group for comprehensive insurance discounts of 10 percent.
Policyholders that use the Navicom system are given an additional 10 percent off their comprehensive insurance policy. Navicom is only the fourth approved tracking system by Mercury and will be added to the list of LoJack, OnStar, and Teletrac. Mercury Insurance Group operates in several states and is the third largest insurer in California.
Navicom creates satellite maps on the Internet to show the vehicle within a five-foot range giving latitude, longitude, address, speed, direction, date and time. Using the Internet and GPS technology powered by Navicom, subscribers can access their vehicles in 98 percent of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
The integrated functionality of Navicom includes immediate location, speed, direction, geo-fence notification, unlock/lock door, enable/disable starter, and many other features.
