Insurance attorney James Fitzgerald has joined the Los Angeles office of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP as partner.
Fitzgerald, 48, joins Stroock from Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, where he was a partner in the firm’s insurance group, as well as a founding member of its Los Angeles office.
Fitzgerald has a broad-based business litigation and insurance practice. He has been involved in numerous class action, complex litigations and jury and non-jury cases in state and federal court regarding insurance coverage and bad faith, business disputes, professional liability and fraud. He also practices before the NASD on broker issues and employment matters.
