My point exactly….If we allow the greed to flourish in Florida it will come to your town soon! Next they will not cover any state that has tornados, floods, earthquakes (opps that\’s already happening), mudslides, volcanos, fires, and the list goes on. I would like to own a company that can charge people what ever it wants for a product and then say…sorry I no longer have that product but thanks for the cash! See Ya!

    Bill,

Just hoping for clarification on the figures provided.

Are these total Florida Property & Casualty figures, homeowner figures, commericial lines figures, what?

The reason that I ask is that these are significatnly different than the Homeowner figures I have.

    Thanks

MY POINT was that anywhere could be hit in Florida! so why are they ASSUMING that all the damage will be done on the coast…like when ORLANDO got the worst of the damage and yet didn\’t affect US on the coast!!
As for my Wealth…or lack of Wealth, which you have NO idea about I certainly am richer in compassion then you will EVER be.
Enjoy your coffee breaks….As an independently wealthy person I CHOOSE to post or not to post at my convince and not while being paid by others!

Please don\’t make me cry. Insurance is just a business, just like any other. If a company is not earning the rate of return needed to make a profit in an area for a product they have two choices. Raise the price or stop selling the product. Unfortunatley this is not a communistic society… or should I say fortunately!

Disney has NEVER increased their ticket price by 300% to 500% and you don\’t HAVE to buy Disney Tickets if you own a home in Florida but you DO have to purchase homeowners insurance!

If insurance is just a business…trying to make money…then why is it regulated by state government? Furthermore, then why do most states REQUIRE you to carry some sort of insurance (i.e. auto, homeowners, etc…)

Not trying to be catty…just asking a sincere question.

Really? Then why all the damage to Captiva island (during Hurricane Charley) ON THE COAST south of you? Get your facts straight.

P.S. I have compassion; I am just not an idiot. Hint hint. And if you are independently wealthy perhaps you would like to spend more time educating yourself. You could start by getting your GED. Thanks! :)
