Kathy says, \”Besides I am SURE I have much more of an education then you could ever even afford being an insurance agent!\”

If Kathy has such a high level of education, she should know the difference between \”than\” and \”then\”.

\”Than\” refers to the COMPARISON of two items. \”Then\” refers to TIME.

Get out of your fantasy world Kathy. Of course Citizens will pay claims. Citizens does not charge a premium adequate to the exposure. They can\’t lose money and go out of business like a private insurer because they just take the loss they can\’t pay and make people who have completely unrelated insurance coverages and make them pay for those losses. Government does not solve problems such as this one. They just move them by taxing more. Businesses are entitled to a profit. Insurance company profit is limited by law. Why do I bother? Again, you have no concept of what the product is or how real world business works. You read articles and listen to idiots who don\’t understand how the real world works and believe their idiotic conclusions. Time and wind will prove insurance companies right in running away from Florida. If the profit is so great new companies would be coming to Florida in droves. That\’s not happening and all the lying politicians in Florida can\’t make it so.

it is truly scary to think you are teaching someone. your uncontrollable anger and complete lack of a sense of reality scares the heck out of me. how are you able to even be allowed around impressionable people wanting to learn?

I think you have me confused with bp who is the scarey person teaching our children. HE is the angry one who dosen\’t give a crap about anyone else but himself and if HE gets his claims paid. Read the entire post before you are quick to judge who really cares about people and who dosen\’t!

Yes, business are entilted to a profit but not gouging like they are doing in Florida! The \”real world\” for the insurance industry is a place where the they force everyone out of their homes by overinflated insurance premiums! I am sorry but in the \”real world\” people don\’t get 300% to 500% raises in their pay as the insurance industry has in the past few years! So who needs to get real here!

We have read every post you have sent. You have no facts, no basis in reality whatsoever. If you are a teacher, you are one of those who has worked for the government so long you don\’t understand that private industry provides a product at a profit. If no profit is to be made, the product is discontinued. This isn\’t a matter of caring or not caring. It\’s a matter of running a business. Very few teachers are as ignorant of the private sector as you, but there are a few. I went into insurance because it was a service that helped businesses and people recover from losses. It seemed a pretty cool way to help society. It still does dispite ignorance in the general public. Your vacuous rants just don\’t do anything. You have a responsibility as a citizen to complain about inequities, but an equal responsiblity to make sure what you say has a basis in fact. You have abrogated that part of your responsibility entirely. Go to another we site if you want anyone to agree with you. Insurance professionals know you have nothing real to say. I\’m sorry for the little citizens you teach. I hope you are a better teacher than your posts indicate.

If that\’s what it costs to provide the product, that\’s what should be charged. Why should a business be forced to sell a product for a loss. Insurance is not like any other product. Make at least some attempt to understand how the product works before you continue with your rantings. Try an actual fact once, you might find it enlightening.

I could be wrong and please correct me if thats the case, but does not the state limit the profits insurance companies make? Why then Kathy are we arguing on the subject of profits. If the state insurance commission has granted the rate increases then your beef should be with them, not the insurance industry.

Sorry, this is driving me nuts….read the posts more carefully. Kathy IS NOT a teacher, BP IS.

You tell Kathy to get her facts straight and read the posts more clearly…maybe you should too!
