Tara Carthew has been named assistant vice president of GEICO’s claims regional center in Katy, Texas. Previously, Carthew served as branch manager for the operations center since it opened in 2014.
Carthew started with GEICO in 2002 as a telephone claims representative in the company’s San Diego regional office and worked her way up the claims ranks. She served as a claims supervisor before being named claims service manager in 2009. Two years later Carthew joined the management team in the Tucson regional office as telephone claims representative manager in 2011. She received a promotion in 2012 before transferring to GEICO’s corporate headquarters in Chevy Chase, Md., to enter the company’s executive assistant program in 2013.
Upon completion of that program, Carthew was named manager of the Houston claims office, and liability director when that office moved to Katy in 2014.
