Hmmm – I am part Jewish, part Slavic. Should I sue Egypt and Russia since both had slavery in the past? Oh, and those Romans who tried to rule the world just like others before them and after, they sent Jews to wander around the world!

Our ancestors did some pretty nasty things to each other. The idea of slaves goes way way back. It was considered one of the spoils of war, you win you get to plunder etc. In Africa before the Europeans showed up tribes were raiding each other and ooooh guess what, yeah made slaves of those they took in the raid. Same here with American Indians, and with Nordic people.

So when does the finger pointing stop? So when do we stop paying for something we no longer have any control over? We as a whole people, no race specific are going to pay for this judgement, or is the increase in premiums only going to be applied to Caucasian policy holders? Because you know the insurance companies are going to recoup the monies somewhere.

We can sit and point racial fingers, and throw in a bit of sexual discrimination on top of it- but when does it stop? For as long as people have the freedom to choose what they want to do and what they want to think there are always going to be differeing opinions, ie this thread.

What has happened in the past is truly horrible, in most cases, however if these things hadn\’t happened we wouldn\’t have grown to where we are now. We are now all Americans, not blacks, whites, asians, plain old americans. We have other more pressing issues to worry about, let\’s stop finger pointing and take responsibility for now, not the past, cause damn it one of my ancestors is named Wilkes, and I\’ll be damned if I want the ancestors of Lincoln suing my tush.

It is unfortunate that when African-Americans fight for reparations everyone, consciously or subconsciously, attempts to devalue the efforts of those who pull together nearly impossible-to-find evidence by mention why their people should get reparations. If you want reparations for your people save your comments about others and work to bring it about. And please, do not to someone to forget!! It is insulting. Will you forget 911, the Holocaust, Pearl Harbor, or The Oklahoma City Bombing. Do you remember the Tulsa, Oklahoma bombing and burning of 1921? For those who complain about paying for injustice, you continue to reap the benefits of yesterday\’s injustice guilt-free. I do not care who you are, if you have embraced the benefits you have inherited the sins. If the insurance or financial institutions passes on any lost to you, do not blame the relatives and the victims of slavery. You blame those institutes that pass the bill and their guilt onto YOU. Choose another institution. That is what makes America great!!! CHOICE!! So save your comments and your money!!!

Your remarks are incoherent due to both your tortured logic and the apparent omission of words from some of your sentences, but I gather from your statement that it is fair to conclude that since 90% of inter-racial rapes are blacks raping whites, and 90% of inter-racial robberies are blacks robbing whites, and so on, blacks should pay whites reparations?

This I infer from your assinine remark, \”You blame those institutes that pass the bill and their guilt onto YOU.\”

Do you know what an institute is?

    Hahahahah.
My take is this, a man/woman cant feel what they cant see, and this is was i hear being transcribed by the majority of folkz in this thread. Im not going to lay into anyone because its a waste of time arguing because you nor your ancestors have had your head twisted from the disgusting greed of these corporations. Yes they should pay what they owe at todays value why? Because while they benefited my black neighbor/black employee/black friend/black brother\’s ancestors were openly traded, used, and redistributed as a commodity. And i have no impathy for any of you sad cases who think otherwise

Simply put. Did you personally deserve to get something free? Did you suffer? If this be the case, then the American Indian owns America. No offense to blacks, but they are not the first and only race / people to have hardships. I’m sure my ancestors were done wrong to also by your ancestors at some point. Does that give me any rights today? H*ll no. Easy street is always what people want. White, black, Hispanic, whatever.

My second opinion on this,… let me state this clearly,… it’s MY OPINION,… We have very few “African Americans”. They are black. If you haven’t even visited Africa, don’t play that card. If that be the case,… I am European, German, French and whatever else ‘mut’ I am from my decades of ancestors. No other race lays claim to a country as much as “Africa”. I am not saying things weren’t done wrong. I am saying you deserve nothing unless wrong doing was done to you or at least your parents. Going back decades is ridiculous. We all can blame the government for something our family endured. Like it or lump it. My feelings. And before you jump on my opinions, yes I do have black, Hispanic and Asian friends. I am a ‘white guy’. I take zero offense in being an American. If that label offends you, then it’s a problem you have and not society. Yes, I realize I said “Hispanic” and “Asian” but refrained from “African” titles. That’s nothing to do with nationality. It has to do with skin color. “Brown for Hispanic may apply. Without getting into further argument,… there is no argument with the title “Hispanic” or “Asian” simply because of color limitations. I’m white. You’re black. Get over it. Earn our livings and deserve what we earn. Me paying for decade-old mistakes is like you paying for decade-old mistakes. It makes no sense at all. And yes,… i’ve visited some of those native countries. Have you? That’s my opinion. At least consider it.
