Wisconsin-based General Casualty (www.generalcasualty.com) recently released Marketplace Online, its first online quoting and submission application. The company’s technical and commercial lines staff created the product using feedback from independent agents and regional underwriters.
Marketplace Online is customized for General Casualty’s Commercial Marketplace product. Since numerous types of business qualify for Commercial Marketplace, each with specific needs and underwriting restrictions, the application has underwriting guidelines built into it.
The company plans to release an online quoting and submission tool for its contractors program later this year.
