Copart, Inc. has opened a salvage facility in Richmond, Va. With the addition of this 12-acre greenfield location Copart now has 102 locations in 40 states.
“The new Richmond location is strategically located midway between our Waldorf, Maryland and Danville, Virginia facilities,” said Willis Johnson, Copart’s CEO. “This new site will allow us to better serve our suppliers in the State of Virginia.”
Since August 2002, Copart has added eight locations including two MAG sites in West Mifflin, Pa. and Richmond, Va. and six Copart salvage sites in Reno, Nev; Springfield, Mo; Corpus Christi, Texas; Ft. Pierce, Fla; Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. and Richmond, Va.
Copart, founded in 1982, provides vehicle suppliers, primarily insurance companies, with a full range of services to process and sell salvage vehicles through auctions, principally to licensed vehicle dismantlers, rebuilders, repair licensees and used vehicle dealers.
