San Diego, CA, 5/30/12 – The San Diego Business Journal announced the finalists this week for the San Diego Business Journal’s 3rd Annual Healthiest Companies Awards. Atlas General Insurance Services was ranked #3 in the Small Company Category for San Diego’s Healthiest Companies in 2012. This is the first year that Atlas has entered the program and the first year that they have been recognized as a finalist and winner.
The Healthiest Companies Awards program recognizes companies that have worked hard to create environments where their employees enjoy going to work. San Diego’s Healthiest Companies winners possess four characteristics: visible leadership support and involvement, significant investment in the wellness program, strategy for measuring the ROI, and a strong desire to create a company culture of well-being.
In order to qualify for the award, businesses were required to complete a survey that covered various health and wellness issues, including pay, promotions, health care, wellness programs, green solutions, hiring practices and more.
“We have worked hard to create a workplace that lends to a healthy lifestyle and attitude so we are incredibly honored to be recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as one of the Healthiest Companies in San Diego,” said Mike Mathews, President and COO of Atlas General Insurance Services. “It’s essential that we create a workplace that our employees enjoy coming to everyday as well as an environment that allows them to provide exceptional service to our clients.”
In addition to this achievement, Atlas General Insurance Services was recently acknowledged by the San Diego Business Journal as one of San Diego’s Best Places to Work.
