PIAA Meeting Slated May 25-28 in San Diego

More than 600 people from different segments of the healthcare industry will meet in San Diego when the Physician Insurers Association of America holds its Annual Meeting May 25-28 at the San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina.

The physician-owned medical liability insurers of the PIAA cover more than 60 percent of all practicing physicians in the United States. Representatives from the medical liability insurance industry, medical and legal professions, and actuarial and financial firms will be on hand to discuss tort reform, risk management, patient safety, underwriting techniques, and current litigation issues.

The meeting will feature keynote speaker Ron James, president and CEO of the Center for Ethical Business Cultures at the University of St. Thomas, as well as several other speakers.
