Copart Inc. has acquired a salvage facility in Anchorage, Alaska. The addition of the Alaska site brings Copart’s total number of locations to 107 throughout the United States and Canada.
“Alaska fits our growth strategy by broadening our national presence, which now covers 42 states,” Willis Johnson, Copart’s CEO, remarked.
Since July 2003, Copart has added five locations in Eugene, Oregon; Toronto, Canada; Helena, Montana; Northfield, Ohio and Anchorage, Alaska.
Copart, founded in 1982, provides vehicle suppliers, primarily insurance companies, with a full range of services to process and sell salvage vehicles through auctions, principally to licensed vehicle dismantlers, rebuilders, repair licensees and used vehicle dealers.
