An entertainer injured at Margaritaville Casino in Biloxi, Miss., is stable and alert at an area hospital.
Casino spokeswoman Georgina Barvie’ said an investigation is continuing into Friday’s accident that caused the female employee to fall from a hook during the volcano show. During the show, which is performed six times daily, an entertainer slides down the side of a volcano into a giant margarita blender. She is then lifted out by a hook suspended from the ceiling. Barvie’ says it was unknown what caused the hook to break.
The Sun Herald reports the accident happened during the 7 p.m. performance.
The remaining shows Friday were cancelled and Barvie’ says the show was suspended until the investigation is complete.
