The Small Business Administration is offering disaster assistance to businesses, homeowners and renters affected by recent severe weather in Lincoln and Wayne counties.
U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall says the SBA will provide low-interest loans to repair or replace property damaged or destroyed by storms, tornadoes, flooding, mudslides and landslides from Feb. 29 to March 2.
A disaster declaration issued by President Barack Obama makes storm victims in the two counties eligible for both physical and economic injury disaster loans.
Rahall says economic injury disaster loans also are available for small businesses and most private nonprofits in neighboring Boone, Cabell, Logan and Mingo counties.
Applications for physical property damage loans must be submitted by May 15. Dec. 17 is the deadline to apply for economic injury loans.
