Three people in western Kentucky have been indicted for going on what police say was a “burning spree” in Ohio County earlier this year.
Police say one of the targets was Horse Branch Elementary School.
Kentucky State Police charged 37-year-old Tina L. Abbeduto, of Beaver Dam; 26-year-old Joseph B. Darnell, of Dawson Springs; and 31-year-old Ricki Lacey, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., in a string of arson and burglaries that occurred in late March.
The Messenger-Inquirer reports that Lacey and Darnell are already incarcerated in other jails.
Trooper Corey King says the trio went on a two-day “burning spree” in the county and also allegedly burglarized homes and stole property.
The fire at the school damaged classrooms and destroyed several outbuildings.
