Touche! We have customers that we have worked hard to protect them and earn their loyalty, we even refer people to competitors (agents) if we know they have a better product in some cases. I rest very well at night knowing our goal is to do our best for our clients, not only to maximize our profits or income. I guess BDJS5 doesn’t want to reveal the evil profit making industry he works or worked for.
It is a shame that an admiral has filed suit against USAA however I will defend both he and BDJS5. I went to Mississippi to work as a volunteer during Katrina. I am a claim manager however the company I was working for were relocating and I didn’t take a transfer thus I was unemployed just a few days after the storm struck. I didn’t want to work “storm duty”…I just wanted to help. I wanted to teach my children and their friends about volunteering. This was the most devastating experience of my life and theirs…and we got to go home after a weekend. The smell…the snakes…the absolute destruction we saw left us all shell-shocked. Seeking trucks impaled on tree limbs and massive mounds of debris that used to be homes. If you didn’t see it then you can’t fathom the pain BDJS5 experienced and when you looked to someone to help you expect them to be as loyal to you as you were to them (a 28 year customer he/she said). Because of volume of claims so many people were utilized in positions that weren’t normal and communication was not as thorough or even possible as certain times. I took 9 kids to Mississippi to help with relief efforts about 8 times in a 4 month period. It left indelible marks on each of them. BDJS5…I’m sorry for your loss. I’m sorry the industry did not live up to your expectations. Some times we can’t do what we might like to do because our companies are not philanthropic in claim situations. I can say that as an insurance professional it was heartening to see numerous signs painted in the front yard of homes thanking their insurance companies.
No BDJS5, you left yourself unprepared, not the insurance industry. Such they are an easy scape goat as many people like yourself do not and will not accept ant personal responsibility and/or accountibility for their own (in)actions. The insurance industry doesn’t need to be overhauled or re-vamped, people like you need to accept the fact that you f’ed up and made a huge mistake. grow from it instead of blaming others. no wonder you are in the predicament you are in….

I am sure he works for a nonprofit organization.
Last time I checked USAA didn’t have any agents. Could that be part of the problem with this court case? Just a thought.
Florida Agent, I’m guessing bdjs5 is an attorney.

of course this isn’t about the money… regardless, I hope this couple lose their case.
Did you ever notice that people who say “trust me” a lot, usually can’t be trusted?
