Merastar Chooses Guidewire ClaimCenter System

Tennessee-based Merastar Insurance Company, a specialist in employer-sponsored personal automobile and homeowners’ insurance, and Guidewire Software, a provider of solutions to property and casualty and workers’ compensation insurers, announced that Merastar has selected Guidewire ClaimCenter as its new claims system. ClaimCenter will support the end-to-end claim handling process for the entire claims organization.

Guidewire ClaimCenter gives Merastar a complete claims system from first notice of loss through investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery. ClaimCenter’s flexible interfaces support rapid implementation in Merastar’s existing systems environment with no customization of source code. The intuitive, web-based user interface reportedly minimizes training time and enables adjusters to adapt to the system quickly.

Guidewire ClaimCenter enables modern claims organizations to use flexible business rules to optimize the claim process and automatically monitor all operations to identify exceptions and eliminate errors.

Claims executives can define and enforce their preferred claim handling practices, and can refine those practices over time. ClaimCenter’s modern architecture, web client, and web services support reportedly ensure lower total cost of ownership in any environment.
