A building owned by the City of Ozark and insured for more than $800,000 was destroyed by fire around 4:25 A.M. Aug. 30. The approximate 16,000 square foot building, located at 401 Carroll Avenue, was occupied by the Alabama Department of Human Resources. No injuries were reported.
Investigators with the Ozark Police and Fire Departments and the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office have determined the building was broken into and set on fire. The investigation continues.
