Name of the victim in the fire early Monday in northeast Austin hasn’t been immediately released. He was found unconscious and was pronounced dead at the scene. The fire was in a kitchen in one of the units.
More than 30 people have been displaced by the fire. The Red Cross and apartment management are working to provide them temporary housing or to return to their residences.
