The Louisiana Department of Insurance announced that Commissioner Robert Wooley and the department’s Property and Casualty staff will present a forum on the new Flexible Rating law on Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. in the Plaza Hearing Room of the Poydras building, 1702 North Third Street, Baton Rouge.
The forum will be a discussion of implementation of Act 351 which passed during Louisiana’s 2003 Regular Legislative Session. Effective Jan. 1, 2004, the measure will allow insurance companies to adjust rates down or up 10 percent annually without appearing before the Louisiana Insurance Rating Commission.
