Easy for those of you (& them) who do not need unemployment benefits or Flood insurance. We the people are going to have to pay one way or another. Are we willing to pay a little more to help out those in need?
Well I think we should be willing to help. Maybe congress could kick in some funds they have instead of just worrying about getting re-elected.

When you pay people to not work they won’t. Pretty good work if you qualify.

…when Bush was president? Surely you couldn’t have supported his buffoonery or the embarrassment and disgrace he caused our country as the original “American Idiot”, not to mention the thousands of lives he’s responsible for taking with the needless wars he initiated. I’m glad to finally have an INTELLIGENT president, and don’t really care what the racist redneck older white male teabaggers think. Boy they love throwing around that socialist label and proclaiming the apocalypse. Guess what? We’re alive today, we’ll be alive tomorrow, and our grandchildren will do just fine. Thank goodness for Democrats.

    OUR NEW UNION EMPLOYMEE BENEFITS:

    1. You are guaranteed employment for life. You cannot be fired unless your employer-owner first finds a new employer-owner for you.

    2. You are provided all necessary and approved food, clothing, shelter and transportation. As a slave, you represent a capital investment to your employer-owner. A disabling event or your death represents an entire loss of his/her investment. Therefore, it is in your employer-owner’s best interest to protect you.

    3. You, your spouse, and approved children are provided 100% of necessary and approved healthcare.

    4. If you become too sick or too old to work, your benefits will continue for your permissible lifetime.

    5. Your approved spouse and approved children are guaranteed employment and all the same benefits as you.

    6. As an indentured servant, you’ll pay no income taxes, sales taxes, or property taxes, since you will have no need for money or property.

The practice of offering these employmee benefits was outlawed in 1866 by a Republican administration through the passage of the 13th Amendment. When we get this repealed, we can make you a member of the new union.

that’s kind of funny – since so many southern republican legislators are pro-confederacy (and thus pro-slavery)

And also seeing how much…umm… support the republican party has among african americans

Maybe if we cut agricultural support to foreign countries (required to keep our farm support system legal) and reduce the corporate tax breaks that have multiplied over the last 10 years and business subsidies, we would be able to help the hungry and homeless in America.

Since the attempt seems to be to put the U.S. on the same economic level as the third world, we can cut out all foreign aid and let them decide for us if we should pursue our current path.

so, what’s with the racit card her? Why do you think that a Southern Republican is pro-Confederacy and pro-slavery?? Our founding Fathers ALL owned slaves and a LOT of those Northern Yankee States had slaves as well. The War of Northern Aggression was not ENTIRELY all about slavery….so, get off the “oh, poor me…my gggggranddaddy was a slave….” – get a job, get off welfare and get back to work!

Read Willard’s post again. No unemployment, full medical care, no taxes at all for the worker, no house payments or rent, no changes in benefits at retirement. Everything the Obama bunch is asking for…..everything many thought they were getting.
