A best-practice assessment questionnaire gives users a numerical score and recommendations detailing the first steps to improve performance and to return employees to productivity faster.

“Putting tools online is the best way to help employers of all types and sizes,” said Amaxx President Rebecca Shafer, who has more than 20 years of experience designing workers’ compensation cost containment programs. “You can work with your own team, at your own pace, in your own office. It’s ideal for both single-site employers and large corporations with multiple locations nationally.”

The 10-module Improvement Plan offers more than 60 forms, sample letters, sample employee policies and formatted brochures to structure injury-management procedures. The documents improve communications with supervisors, employees, doctors, and insurance adjusters. Spanish versions of all documents are available.

PowerPoint presentations can be adapted for all levels of management and used to gain management commitment and to train supervisors. There are instructor scripts and training exercises to accompany the presentations.

WorkersCompKit users have a customized “dashboard” where they can track their company’s progress and move on to the next level. Senior management can access this as well to monitor progress.

Live online help is available. To help participants implement recommendations, Workers’ Comp Boot Camp? is held online regularly.

Licenses for large users are available, and the program is available for private labeling.

Shafer is the former CEO of Aon’s workers’ compensation consulting unit.
