Standard Insurance Co. Unveils New Online Tools

Standard Insurance Company, a subsidiary of StanCorp Financial Group Inc. announced time-saving enhancements to its AdminEASE plan administration tools that allow clients to manage more aspects of their insurance plans in a secure online environment.

Employers can now initiate claims and analyze claims experience as well as check the status of insurance applications that require medical underwriting with AdminEASE plan administration tools, available to The Standard’s group disability, life and dental insurance customers at no additional charge.

“AdminEASE plan administration tools provide a wide range of productivity-enhancing services that enable employers to streamline the management of their benefit plans with The Standard,” said Kathy Chusid, manager of e-business and strategic services for Standard Insurance Company’s Employee Benefits Division.

The new Employer Claim Submission service reportedly speeds the disability claim submission process by allowing employers to submit their portion of a claim instantaneously, receive immediate confirmation of submission and send claim forms to their employees electronically. Employers are able to monitor the status of pending applications that require medical underwriting and view approved coverage amounts with the newly-offered Evidence Reporting feature.

The Reports Online claims management service available to all AdminEASE plan administration tools users now provides more options for tracking and analyzing benefits trends. The reports provide a comprehensive overview of claims activity and can be easily downloaded to employers’ internal databases and applications. Data can be segmented by specified criteria – such as office location, tax unit, employee class or billing division – and tracked by diagnosis type, claim duration and employee occupation. AdminEASE plan administration tools also give employers secure access to contract and policy documents, the Group Insurance Plan Administration Guide, forms and billing statements.
