Computer Sciences Corp. announced that two insurers, Illinois-based Pekin Insurance and a regional property and casualty (P/C) organization in the Midwest, have licensed CSC’s Colossus software to help ensure their bodily injury claims processes are consistent and efficient.
Pekin Insurance is one of the top 150 U.S. insurers, as ranked by total net premiums written, while the Midwestern company is the first mid-range, multi-state insurer to license Colossus.
Colossus gives adjusters access to claims data displayed in a business framework for evaluating injuries, treatments, resolution, impairment and general damage settlements. It helps ensure consistent payouts on similar bodily injury claims by reducing the subjectivity in the settlement process. Colossus is also available as the bodily injury component in CSC’s Exceed, POINT IN and RISKMASTER software solutions.
