Officials say a Metrobus has been involved in an accident with an SUV in northeast Washington and a dozen people have been injured.
Dan Stessel, Metro’s chief spokesman, says the bus hit the SUV after the vehicle crossed into its path at 13th Street and Florida Avenue on Monday about 11:145 a.m. Stessel says a sanitation truck rear-ended the SUV, causing it to “cross into oncoming traffic.”
Nine passengers on the bus, the driver of the sanitation truck and two people from the SUV were taken to hospitals for treatment. Officials say none of the injuries were serious.
