Federal safety regulators are investigating a construction accident in southern New Jersey that sent five workers to hospitals.
The roof collapsed at a Quick Chek construction site in Berkeley Township Wednesday.
Detective Sgt. James Smith told the Asbury Park Press the injuries ranged from broken legs to chest pains.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration spokeswoman Leni Fortson says the roof trusses gave way.
Warren County-based J.G. Petrucci Co. Inc. is building the convenience store.
Petrucci was using CCS, Incorporated to erect the trusses.
