The family of an autistic student molested by a bus aide has settled its lawsuit against a western Pennsylvania school district.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports court filings Friday reveal a settlement in the suit involving Bethel Park School District.
The girl’s family claimed the district knew bus aide Paul Kirtley Sr. repeatedly kissed and engaged in sexual contact with the girl but did not intervene. Neither the district nor the family’s attorney would reveal details of the settlement.
Kirtley, then 76, pleaded guilty last year to child endangerment and indecent assault charges.
