Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell has signed a number of bills into law, including one dealing with bodily injury.
House Bill 2572, sponsored by Rep. Matthew Baker (R Bradford/Tioga), amends Title 42 to provide that proceedings for summary offenses under Title 75 must be brought within one year of the commission of the offense if it involved an accident resulting in bodily injury or death.
The bill passed the House, 200-0, and was approved in the Senate, 47-0 where it was amended. The House approved the bill as amended, 195-0. It takes effect in 60 days.
