AutoOne Insurance has opened its first upstate New York office. Located in Syracuse, the new facility will handle all AutoOne claims north of Westchester County.

AutoOne is a Limited Assignment Distribution (LAD) servicing carrier handling New York Automobile Insurance Plan (NYAIP) business for over 20 New York insurance carriers. The company additionally expects to launch a voluntary personal auto insurance program in April of this year and will be seeking to expand its operations in the New York market.
President and CEO, Carey Benson said the Syracuse operation will employ 75 claim specialists by year-end, in addition to its 650 personnel at the Melville home office location.
