A fire inspector says a blaze that damaged a Pocatello home over the weekend was caused by an overloaded circuit in an updated breaker panel.
Kim Parks told the Idaho State Journal that the Friday night fire caused significant damage to the home, though no one was injured in the blaze. Parks said the home had old knob and tube wiring, and the fuse panel was converted to breakers. Parks said one of the circuits was overloaded.
The owner of the home told firefighters the building was not insured.
