The state Department of Environmental Conservation says fiber bars recalled over allergy concerns have been distributed in Alaska.
General Mills last week issued a voluntary recall of chocolate flavor Fiber One 90-Calorie Chewy Bars. The company said a labeling error resulted in chocolate peanut butter-flavored bars going into five-count boxes labeled as chocolate flavored bars. Peanuts are not listed on the box label, and since peanuts are an allergen, the company said it instituted the recall.
The Department of Environmental Conservation says so far, no allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported.
The recall includes only five-count boxes of chocolate flavor Fiber One 90-Calorie Chewy Bars with a “better if used by” date and code on top of the box of 19May2012BV.
