A doctor in southwestern Idaho is accused filing fraudulent Medicaid claims and bilking the health insurance program for the poor and disabled of more than $30,000.
The offices of the U.S. Attorney the Idaho attorney general filed a complaint against Dr. Michael Applebaum in federal court. Applebaum practices in Nampa, Idaho, at the Applebaum Family Health Center.
The lawsuit says Applebaum failed to document the services that were allegedly provided on more than 500 claims submitted to Medicaid. He is also accused of filing nearly 50 claims with falsified dates.
