California-based ADP Claims Services Group, a provider of information services for the insurance, collision repair and automotive recycling industries, announced it will add a new source of sold-vehicle information to Autosource, a database of “for sale” vehicles.
The daily updates of national used-car sold data will offer specificity by ZIP code for more accuracy. The daily updates will be VIN-specific, option-specific, include mileage by ZIP code and add more than 500,000 sold vehicles to the database each month.
The just-sold information will be downloaded daily through a direct link
from ADP’s Dealer Services Division, and will be available in October.
The Autosource database is already updated daily with sold-vehicle market information gathered from private-party advertisements in more than 3,300 publications and Web sites nationwide. ADP continues to collect electronic dealer inventory program information from more than
10,300 participating dealerships.
The result is a database updated with more than 2 million vehicles per week.
