California-based OSHA Fast Fix announced the introduction of a new safety plans program being offered by Irvine-based Superior Access Insurance Services.
The program calls for Superior Access to market through its broker force a collection of OSHA-compliant safety plans developed by OSHA Fast Fix. This program provides industry-specific written safety plans for the small-to mid-size employer market.
The program is a multi-state offering designed to address exposures for a full range of businesses, covering all workers’ compensation classes. In addition, it addresses a specific written requirement of California Labor Code 6401.7 (a), which calls for every employer to establish, implement and maintain an effective written Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
Chi Pham, vice president, Commercial Division for Superior Access Insurance Services, said, “We are happy that we have found a product that is easy for our brokers to use and that will give them an efficient, highly responsive method of helping commercial insurance clients to address exposure risks, claims and loss payouts.”
“We are excited about the market potential for this product,” added Meredith Taylor, president of OSHA Fast Fix. “Research shows that clients who understand and implement OSHA safety plans in their businesses see an overall reduction in safety related losses. From existing clients to prospects, written safety plans provide an valued, cost effective, risk management tool with the convenience of a web-based transaction.”
