Farmers Claims Team Assists Victims of Calif. Fires

Farmers Insurance Group of Companies is advising its customers suffering damage from the recent fires to immediately contact their agent or call the 24 hour claims hotline, 800-HelpPoint (1-800-435-7764).

As of early morning Thursday, Farmers Insurance had received approximately 1,300 homeowners claims, more than 350 are considered large losses.

Farmers has made contact with and made advanced partial payments to nearly all of those large loss homeowners customers. A combination of local claims employees and members of Farmers’ catastrophe team are assisting customers. Representatives from the HelpPoint phone bank are calling affected customers in danger zones giving advice on evacuation procedures.
