Marshall County plans to demolish three-flood prone homes as part of a federal effort to reduce flooding.
County emergency management deputy director Michael Mucheck tells WTOV-TV that two homes are in Moundsville and one is in Benwood, W.Va.
Mucheck says all three properties were flooded in 2004 and 2005.
The project will be funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s mitigation program.
