PRIUM’s senior vice president of Product Development Mark Pew will team with Dorothy Kelly, CEO of ISO Claims Partners, to present “War Games: Winning Strategies for MSA Cost Containment & Settlement” at the Atlanta Claims Association Workers’ Compensation Boot Camp.
High future pharmacy cost presents barriers to settling workers’ compensation claims and their corresponding Medicare Set-Asides. Pew and Kelly will discuss complicating factors to the MSA process and, and introduce the concept of preparing a package of evidence before submitting the MSA proposal. Pros and cons for various cost-control methods will be examined and case studies will demonstrate how physician engagement and case management reduced the scope of inappropriate drug regimens and prepared claims for a smooth MSA process.
A white paper on the topic can be downloaded at http://www.prium.com/resources/thought-leadership./
The one-day boot camp starting at 8 a.m. on Feb. 4 will be held at the Villa Christina at Perimeter Summit, 4000 Summit Blvd. in Atlanta. For details, please see http://www.atlantaclaims.com/events/view/Workers-Compensation-Boot-Camp.
