Fire Breaks Out on Roof of Alabama Shopping Center

Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire on the roof of a building at the Riverchase Galleria shopping center in Hoover, Ala.

Authorities say the blaze began Sunday afternoon atop the former Macy’s building at the shopping complex.

Hoover police tell WBRC-TV that work was being done on the roof of the building, and that the area is a construction zone. No injuries were reported.
