Authorities say a restaurant fire that killed a west Tennessee fire chief, who died after pushing firefighters out of the way of a collapsing fire roof, was caused by arson.
Decatur County District Attorney General Hansel McCadams vowed at a press conference Monday that investigators would do whatever it takes to find out who set the fire that killed Kenny Fox.
Fox was a 39-year-old husband and father of three. In addition to being a district chief for the Decatur County Fire Department, Fox was also a sergeant in the Decatur County sheriff’s office.
The blaze earlier this month seriously injured two firefighters and destroyed the restaurant in Parsons.
McCadams said those caught setting the fire will be charged with first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated arson.
