Authorities are investigating after an electrical fire filled the penthouse of the Orange County Convention Center with smoke.
Firefighters arrived late Saturday night after reports that smoke was filling the fourth floor. Because the building is so large, it took the collaboration of nearly two dozen firefighters and several convention center engineers to find the source of the blaze. They eventually discovered an electrical fire in a mechanical room.
The center was not hosting any events at the time of the fire. Several workers were temporarily relocated. No injuries were reported.
