A fire that destroyed a parsonage belonging to a Jackson County church was deliberately set, according to Georgia fire investigators.
The parsonage of the Faith Baptist Church was located at Highway 129 North, Jefferson.
Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John W. Oxendine said that the 3000 square foot wood-framed single-level structure, and two passenger vans also destroyed in the fire, were valued at $100,000.
Oxendine is asking anyone with information about this fire to call his Arson Hotline at 1-800-282-5804. Rewards of up to $10,000 are given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist.
