Traffic officers from across South Carolina are taking part this week in a training session in which a car is being wrecked on purpose.
After the car is wrecked, the officers attending the session in Charleston will train in reconstructing the accident. The idea is to apply what they learn when investigating real accidents.
Officers from seven Lowcountry municipalities are participating, as are officers from the Highway Patrol and the Charleston County Aviation Authority.
Officers from Easley and Greenville are also training at the session
