A South Carolina teen trying to earn money over the summer to pay for his cell phone and car insurance is recovering after he was attacked with fireworks on his first day on the job.
Sixteen-year-old Jacob Robinson’s family says someone threw lit fireworks through his car window Friday night as he stopped to asked for directions as he delivered food in Myrtle Beach.
Authorities say the fireworks burned Robinson on 15 percent of his body and his shirt was still smoldering when paramedics arrived.
The teen’s father says Robinson had a skin graft and is recovering at a burn center in Augusta, Ga.
Police are investigating, but don’t have any suspects or a motive.
