I agree with you. I am in favor of life with NO chance for parole. However, here in NY murderers can get out in 25-30 years. There was one guy recently who murdered an innocent woman and was carrying her head in his trunk. He did not get life without parade. I beleive he got 30 years to life which means he is eligible for parole in 30 years when he will be about 60 years old. That is just a travesty.

With full health benefits, dental, a roof over their heads? I have a hard time believing that. A convicted killer at age 25 will cost the state how many millions if he lives to even 65? How about the ones with AIDS who will get every drug that people with full time jobs and private insurance can’t afford? Cancer treatment, pacemakers, everything their rotting useless bodies need to continue to drain the system.

Just for that alone I am in full favor of the death penalty. I’m all for expanding it to include child molesters. Let them die of pneumonia or let their teeth rot out of their heads and I might reconsider.

And don’t forget that even with life in prison they do APPEAL. So add that to the total to house them. And they sue the states they are incarcerated in because their food is too hot, the gym equipment is out of date, or the cable reception is too fuzzy. Add that, too.

IMHO, prison is a COUNTRY CLUB to where most of them should be.

Wow, you are a miserable person. And yes, it does cost more to execute them – Look it up. You are a vengfull moron. Why dont you move to Iran where they cut off your hand for stealing. Thats where girls like you belong. Over there, women like you get beaten just for speaking up – Now I know why.

You feel sorry for the guy that set her on fire? YOU take him home and support him.

I went to the party outside the jail when Ted Bundy was FINALLY fried. If you had seen what he did to his victims, you would have too.

I’m guessing you’re single. Or should I pity the woman that would put up with your sexist crap?

Actually virtually all of the civilized societies have outlawed capital punishment. And like it or not, you are in the minority, and like it or not, your tax dollars will be used to house these criminals.

So if you want to be a freak, just dont pay your taxes and buy a shotgun and live in a fallout shelter and wait for the government to come for you. I really dont care.

I think I can say that the state of the world today exhibits the result of the moral ‘superior’ majority. Of which I would guess you like to include yourself.

Glad I live in Fla. We do actually execute a few of them on occassion. Go Texas! They have the most executions. Add the victims that shoot their attackers before the cops arrive and they have a record the rest of the states should aim to achieve.

You can call me a freak- IMHO the victim of the violent crime (or their survivors) should be the only one that has a say in the penalty to the attacker. I, personally, am sick and tired of reading about murderers, rapists, and child molesters that are arrested and convicted repeatedly. If they’re dead they can’t do it again. Works for me. Innocent lives are saved that way. I won’t apologize for not saying ‘oh, just because they killed 10 people doesn’t mean they’re bad’. We’re better off if they’re dead.

Like I told you Dawn, this idea of torturing people is only accepted in 3rd world and Islamic countries. That should tell you something.

And its never proven to be a preventitive measure anyway. Its just revenge. Life in prison would be more of a prevention IMO. Lots of the people that would have gotten the death penalty just kill themselves anyway. Just give them life in prison with no parol and no cushy treatment and no visitors and let them die of natural causes.

IF that’s how it really was I could live with it. But, like I said, they get better medical and dental then we do. They are required to be provided with cable TV. And they don’t kill themselves- they get put on ‘suicide watch’. Like we’re supposed to care if they kill themselves. Then they get ‘protective custody’. If Bundy had been thrown in general population, the state wouldn’t have had to execute him. Jeffrey Dahmer comes to mind. Give the guy that shanked him a medal.

Can you honestly tell me that you believe people like Susan Smith should be walking around after driving her car with her children in it down a boat ramp? They protected her in prison from death threats! You go into a police station and tell them someone threatened to kill you and see how much ‘protection’ you get.

Sorry. Can’t sterilize her, can’t ‘fix’ her, have to treat her, protect her, and rehabilitate her. GMAB. I just can’t seem to work up any sympathy for her. Just wish they’d put her to sleep like they do pit bulls that bite. Or at least let the general population of the prison do it for them.

In the parable of the lost sheep, in the Gospel of Luke, Jesus says there shall be more joy in heaven over “one sinner that repenteth” than over 99 just persons who need no repentance.

Life is all about forgiveness, its not my job to get revenge or torture people. God will take care of it.

Didn’t you hear? God has no place in america anymore. And yes, I do believe that is a HUGE part of what is wrong with society.

Happy Kwanzaa, but no Merry Christmas allowed in the Capital these days.

But even a christian has a point where they say enough is enough of the pointless killing of innocent people. If killing Ted Bundy saved another 100 victims (executing him in a timely fashion would have AT LEAST saved one) I have to say do it.

It’s not about revenge- okay there is a part of me that does think that way- but it’s about saving future victims. Most of the people who are arrested today for murder have done time for violent crimes before. Many for murder. Can you tell the mother of a child that was murdered by someone who already did 10 years for murder and was paroled that it’s God’s will? I can’t make myself buy that. These people need to be stopped. And since if they’re in prison they have to be ‘cared for’, execution is the only way to be sure. Stop spending our tax dollars on the criminals and spend them on the victims. The rapist who gives his victim AIDS will get the best treatment in prison while the victim will die an expedited death because she can’t afford the treatment. Where is God’s will in that?
