If I was given the coice between burning, or spending life in prison, I would take burning. It would be much easier than living in jail for life. You people are all fools. What would Jesus do? Would he torture someone??

What would possibly inspire you to jump to this degenerate’s defense? The guy is evil personified and will richly deserve the Jeffrey Dahmer ending he’s sure to experience. As for you, go call your mother and tell her you love her.

In the parable of the lost sheep, in the Gospel of Luke, Jesus says there shall be more joy in heaven over “one sinner that repenteth” than over 99 just persons who need no repentance.

I have done no further research than reading this article, so did I miss his confession? Granted, this legal system is screwed up in many ways, but “innocent until proven guilty” is a good thing. When he is proven guilty, then pass judgement.

I get it; and so, you believe OJ Simpson is not guilty?

I believe he is guilty, but does that matter?

I can’t imagine what that family is going through this Christmas season. The horror and tragedy.. the anger..and loss.. God forgive me.. but I say douse him and burn the *******.. people who are writing about whether or not he’s guilty.. that is irrelevant in this discussion.. we have to assume he is.. there has been no testimony and we are commenting on the information which has been provided. When we get another story saying that there is some doubt.. or that he’s saying he’s not guilty.. then we can take it from there. This is horrible.. there is no justification… it’s not a religious battle about what would Jesus do.. we are human beings.. we are not holy Gods.. clearly. the man should feel the same horror, and pain that he inflicted on those poor women and even so, he’ll never feel the pain that those ladie’s families feel.. at the loss of their mothers, sisters, wives, children and friends. Even if he were burned to death, he’d never know the pain of the father of that unborn child.. the husband or boyfriend and father who lost the two most important things in his life in one fail swoop..

Let’s just burn his arm.. and let him live with that festering wound in solitary confinement in the dark for the rest of his days..

OJ was never “proven” guilty in a criminal court though. But certainly you’re more than entitled to believe he is guilty. I agree with you on that.

So grant these folks the same freedom. They “believe” the person in the article to be guilty, therefore they express that opinion. If he’s innocent, then oops. It isn’t like anyone here is really going to hop a bus to FL and shoot him with a flame-thrower.

As for the “idiot liberal” comment someone else made… things like that make me laugh. There are idiot conservatives, too. Capitol Hill is an entire village full of idiots, in my opinion.

I’m not affiliated with either political party, but I lean toward being liberal and I am a believer in the death penalty.

It’s a mistake to assume that all people of one political persuasion share the exact same positions on every issue. I think that’s a rather common error a lot of people make; and it leads to misunderstanding and a breakdown of communication.

If this guy is guilty, he should be put to death. Although I don’t know about torture. On one hand, two wrongs don’t make a right. On the other hand, to do to him what he did to his victims might give their families a greater sense of justice being served. Plus it may actually be an effective deterrent to others considering committing the same type of crime.

thanks KLS for being a voice of reason and sanity as most of the posters here appear to be less than intelligent and have no concept of the law in this country. I agree with you Frankie and MIami PA. This is an atrocious story. I hope this guy is convicted and I would then be more than happy to flip the switch, start the injection, etc.

The punishment may never quite fit the crime but I know that it costs more to execute someone than just house them for life, and it is attorney fees which drive up the cost to litigate a death sentence to resolution. In Pennsylvania, life is life, no probation, no parole. Granted you could apply for clemency and a pardon but that has always been a difficult proposition, and even more so now that it requires a unanimous approval of the board of pardons. At any rate, since you suggest that it is liberals who have corrupted the punishment phase of sentencing, let me disabuse you of the notion that prisons are something of a country club, where the inmates all sit around, smoking and playing cards and watching TV all daym without a care in the world; if that were true, we’d have no crime at all! Until you actually serve time, you’ll never know what punishment consists of in the USA and whether or not it is painful at worst or unpleasant at best. It ain’t no picnic by any stretch. If you think so, try it sometime and let us know what you think after doing more than 30 days anywhere… Liberal to blame indeed!
